Dear Valued Customers and Friends,
I hope this finds you doing well. First, I want to thank you for your business through the 60 plus years our family has been in the tractor and equipment business. Through the years we have made very few changes to our product lines. Mom and Dad, J. Henry and Lorene started out in 1961 in Moneta with International Harvester tractors, hay equipment, trucks, lawn mowers and appliances. In 1979 they along with my brother, Johnny and I, took on a very little known small tractor line, Kubota. We built and moved the dealership to its current location near Stewartsville. In the early 1980’s J.I. Case purchased International Harvester. Later it became apparent that Case had very little interest in tractors less than 60 horse power or hay equipment and in the early 1990’s we dropped the Case IH line which we still sell parts and service today. Since then Kubota has been our only tractor line. So for 45 years we have been selling and servicing Kubota tractors and equipment making us one of the oldest Kubota dealers in the region.
Most of you know we lost Mom in 1993. Dad passed away in 2014 and then we lost Johnny in 2015. So, today my wife Karen, daughter Joy, son Josh and I continue on with our family’s business and tradition of providing top quality tractors, equipment, utility vehicles and mowers to our customers.
With that comes another time when our product lines will change. We are proud that we are a Kubota Premier Dealer, but Kubota is working towards having larger dealerships and dealerships with more than one location. We were given the choice to build a new dealership in the Roanoke Valley or sell our Kubota and Land Pride interest to another dealer. With the cost of building that new location being in the millions of dollars, and not being given the choice to move to another location in Bedford County, after much thought and prayer the family has decided to sell our Kubota interest. We maintain that we are a “Small Business” by choice and we are proud to call Bedford County our home.
We want to assure you that we are not going out of business and we will continue to provide service and parts from our excellent staff for your Kubota and Land Pride equipment. And for those of you that have purchased equipment recently we will help arrange to take care of any warranty issues that may arise.
We are also excited to be adding other Major Tractor, UTV & Equipment product lines in the very near future. We may also expand our product offerings to other markets as well. And we will continue to offer sales, service and parts for Cub Cadet Mowers and Bush Hog brand equipment.
Please feel free to reach out anytime if you have any questions or concerns.
Thank you for your business,
Jeff Powers, President
